Head of Financial Services and Technical Reporting

The Role

Cafico International is seeking a senior finance leader to head the Financial Services Team and oversee group-wide reporting, with a strong focus on financial and regulatory reporting, client service and operational excellence.
Based at our Dublin 4 headquarters, this role is ideal for a technically strong, commercially minded professional who can lead a high-performing team and manage senior client relationships.

Responsibilities

Accounting, Financial Reporting & Regulatory Oversight
  • Act as the technical accounting lead for the Financial Services Team, advising on IFRS, GAAP, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex transactions and lead the resolution of accounting, audit and reporting matters with clients, auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory and industry developments and support the implementation of required changes.
  • Develop accounting policies, controls, processes and practical solutions to address technical accounting, regulatory and operational issues.
 
Client Delivery & Relationship Management
  • Oversee the delivery of accounting, reporting, audit, tax and transaction-related services for a portfolio of financial services clients and SPVs across multiple asset classes.
  • Ensure all client and regulatory deadlines are met and service standards maintained.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, building strong and trusted relationships.
  • Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance client service offerings.
 
Leadership 
  • Lead, mentor and develop members of the Financial Services Team, supporting performance, training and career development.
  • Oversee resource planning, work allocation and the onboarding of new clients and team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and growth of the Financial Services business.

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience within financial services, structured finance, securitisation, aircraft leasing, corporate administration or a Big 4 environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS, GAAP and statutory reporting.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and managing audit processes.
  • Proven client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A practical, collaborative and hands-on approach.
